MaxCapture converts electronic documents or drawings to standard CALS or TIFF Group IV raster format, carrying through both pen mapping and pen widths from the CAD file. Set-up is similar to defining a plotter to your CAD application.

MaxCapture can be used like any other print driver for Windows applications, except that its output will be saved in CALS, TIFF or Multi-Page TIFF files instead of being directed to a printer. The output files can be used to create MaxView documents with one of our author applications for general distribution and viewing with the free MaxReader application.

When image files are created, a group file will be created containing information about the files that were created. The group file is used for any optional post-processing of the images. For example, a utility is available from MaxView that will strip off unwanted parts of the filename generated by MaxCapture.

MaxCapture2003 is an application for Windows NT/2000/XP systems. A previously released version of Capture98 is available for Windows 98/ME systems.
